The colors on the sugar skulls are so vibrant, way more than the photos showed, and it made the whole thing a joy to work on. Took me a few evenings but the 1000 pieces fit together cleanly with almost no false fits.
Pieces fit together fine and the skull artwork is genuinely striking once it's done, but I ran into more false fits than I'd like, especially in the dark background sections. Took me three evenings and I'm still on the fence about whether it was worth it for a 1000 piece.
