Chomp! Thud! Crunch! Grrrr! Squawk! What a noisy group. All the best dinos have been gathered and rendered with lovely texture and fun colour by UK artist James Newman Gray. Each colourful creature is labelled so everyone can play and learn. Interspersed amongst our dino friends are bits of prehistoric flora, eggs, fish, and is that a small volcano at the bottom? It’s so small, probably nothing to worry about…

The pieces have a lovely matte texture and fit together snugly — very satisfying to assemble. My kids kept pointing out their favorite dinos based on the vibrant colors.

The art style is what sold me—every dino has this rough, textured look that makes the colors pop. My kids fought over who got to sort the pieces first, and the 500 count kept us busy for a solid weekend.

The James Newman Gray artwork is what sold me — each dinosaur has real texture and personality instead of the flat clip-art look most puzzles have. Pieces snapped together cleanly and there were no false fits, which matters at 500 pieces. My kid keeps pointing out the squawking one.
