Isn't a calm lake and a roaring campfire the true essence of Summer's Song? After a long day of exploring the islands in a canoe, the unseen camper is preparing his fresh catch to roast over the fire for a fish feast tonight. Post dinner, the evening will end with night sky gazing as the shooting stars and crescent moon light up the firmament. A beautiful 2000 piece puzzle by Darrell Bush.
The campfire glow is incredibly vivid against the dark sky, and the pieces lock tightly without any loose bits. I got completely lost in assembling the canoe and shoreline details.
The campfire glow in this one is so rich that I kept pausing to sort the orange pieces before fitting them. Snapping in that final piece of the canoe on the water felt genuinely satisfying. A calm, absorbing weekend build.
The campfire glow against the dark water took way longer than I expected because so many pieces are nearly the same shade of orange and blue. Took me and my sister about a week of evenings, but that canoe on the lake looks great framed in the hallway now.
