The bold strokes of color in this painting are even richer in person than I expected. I hung it in the nursery and the mother-and-cub bond gives the whole room a warm, calm feel.
The fine detail on the cub's fur is what got me — you can see every brushstroke up close. The 275 pieces went together in a couple of evenings, and I've left it on the mantel since.
The mother bear and cub really pull you into the scene, and the bold color strokes make it feel alive from across the room. I've done a few Mark Keathley puzzles now and the fine detail held up without any blurry patches.
